51 months later and the Fort Hood Heroes are still DISHONORED

On September 5, 2009, an Army psychiatrist who is (and was) a self-proclaimed Islamist jihadist (I deliberately do not refer to him by name because he is a barbarian whose name should be ignored and forgotten) attacked his fellow soldiers at Fort Hood in Texas and slaughtered 13 (including an unborn baby) and wounded more than 30 in the name of Islam. When the incident first happened, the National Counterterrorism Center initially (and CORRECTLY) identified the attack as a “terrorist attack.” The attack was later reclassified to “workplace violence.” http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2013/07/10/official-counterterror-office-labeled-fort-hood-terrorism-day-after-attack/

While the jihadist terrorist continued to receive his Army pay, his victims and their families are DENIED both honors AND the financial and medical benefits due them. http://lastresistance.com/2160/fort-hood-jihadist-gets-paid-victims-denied-combat-benefits/ and http://www.wect.com/story/23906271/special-report-the-fort-hood-fight-survivors-battle-for-benefits

Because of the reclassification to “workplace violence,” the wounded survivors and the families of the slaughtered are facing a FIFTH Christmas Season being denied both the HONOR they are due as well as the financial and medical assistance they are entitled to receive as members of our military who were killed or wounded in the line of duty during an act of war.

After the conviction and sentencing to death of the Fort Hood jihadist this last August (2013), there was renewed energy in Congress to rectify the “workplace-violence” categorization of the massacre http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2013/sep/3/push-renewed-to-call-fort-hood-act-terrorism/ To that end, bills were introduced in both the House and the Senate to declare the Fort Hood Massacre an Islamist terrorist attack. Unfortunately, both bills are languishing in committee. (Senate https://www.govtrack.us/congress/bills/113/s1500 and House https://www.govtrack.us/congress/bills/113/hr3111)

I ask you, during this Christmas Season, to please make the pledge “We Will Not Forget ~ We will continue to demand justice for our Heroic Warriors who were killed and wounded by an Islamist terrorist in the line of duty.” The chairs of the Committees determine when and IF the bills are heard and voted on by the Committees. It is so important to get the word out to everyone we know to stand with our Heroes and to do everything we can to support them and fight to push the Congress to pass the bills that will recognize their heroism and give them the financial and medical benefits that are due them. Please help us get the word out by posting this blog on your Facebook and sending it to your email list. Maybe Christmas 2014 will be better for them than Christmas 2013. Thank You.
